Heidelberg Central – Moving into the Future

Heidelberg Central - Moving into the Future

Who would have thought that we could get so excited about our
But we are - we are so PROUD that our Traders have been able
to provide these improved facilities to our customers and clients.
We hope you agree - our toilets are now of a standard worthy
of Heidelberg Central.

Heidelberg Central

is an exciting shopping precinct in the City of Banyule to the north of Melbourne.

Earmarked as a Major Activity Centre - Heidelberg Central is experiencing growth across all areas of its precinct.
Developers are committing large investment in mixed use projects increasing our retail, office and apartment spaces.
Our local schools are extending and adding infrastructure to improve educational opportunities for our young community and the Bio Medical Precinct on our doorstep is forever growing with the building of the Olivia Newton John Wellness centre, new Mental Health building and multilevel car park for staff to accommodate our increasing population.

The government are looking at the possibilities for growth and investment in the Heidelberg station railway land. Large blocks of land (the old RSL site in Mount Street and the 'unofficial' car park on the corner of Burgundy Street and Upper Heidelberg Road) are opportunities for new medical offices, better access to the hospital precinct, more car parking and educational spaces, maybe even a hotel.

All this bodes well for the established businesses of Heidelberg Central and screams out to potential businesses that we are moving forward and will survive and grow!

Heidelberg Central has a very active Traders Committee who are constantly addressing our marketing and advertising opportunities. Our vibrant banners through our streets are one of our trademark visions. We back these up with 7 promotional campaigns annually.

Our public toilet block - long in need of an upgrade - has been given that long overdue face lift. This is a public toilet block where people can now feel comfortable taking their children and elderly relatives.

The committee meets monthly and are always looking for new blood, new ideas and feedback - good or bad - that can be used to improve our shopping precinct. If you have a comment, please contact us at any time.

We hope you take the time to visit our shopping precinct and enjoy the experience!
